The Shrines of Bulgaria - 2 days

Day 1 - Departure to Sofia. Along the way you will visit the third largest monastery in Bulgaria, where one of the three miraculous icons of Bulgaria is located. In Sofia, you'll take a tour through the center with a visit to the largest Alexander Nevski Cathedral and the Church of Saint Sophia. You'll walk along the Parliament Building and over the former palace of the Bulgarian Tsar to the National Theatre. Drive to the Rila Monastery, where you will stay over night in a hotel nearby.
Day 2 - Visit of the Rila Monastery, the treasury of Bulgarian culture, where the second miraculous icon of the Mother of God and the relics of St. Ivan Rilski lie. You will continue to Plovdiv and the Bachkovo Monastery, the second largest monastery in Bulgaria. After a recovery in Plovdiv and visit of the old town you will return to the seaside resort.
